RESIDENTIAL SOLAR CANBERRA
Solar isn't a one-size-fits-all product. Your roof, energy use, budget and future plans all affect what makes sense.
At Decarby, every project is backed by engineering expertise. We take the time to understand how you use energy, explain your options clearly and design a system that works for your home now and into the future.
No jargon. No pressure. Just practical advice from a local Canberra team.
Tell us a little about what you're looking for and our team will get in touch.

WHY DECARBY?
There are plenty of ways to put solar panels on a roof. The harder part is working out what system actually makes sense for the home underneath them.
We're not driven by sales targets or cookie-cutter quotes. We look at what you're trying to achieve, explain the options and recommend a system that suits your property and energy goals.
Every project is guided by engineering experience across residential, commercial and government buildings. That means technical decisions come first.
We design customised solutions and staging plans around the property rather than trying to fit every household into the same package.
Our accredited installation team brings years of practical experience, with a focus on safe, efficient installation and quality workmanship.
We'd rather explain why something does or doesn't make sense for your home than push equipment you don't need.
SOLAR FOR CANBERRA HOMES
For many Canberra homes, solar can provide a significant portion of the electricity used across the household. But how well a system performs depends on more than the number of panels on your roof.
System size, available roof space and the way your household uses electricity all matter. We work through those factors with you and design a system around your actual needs.
If battery storage, an EV or further electrification is something you may consider later, we can also account for that from the beginning. The aim is to avoid locking you into a system that limits your options down the track.
MAKE MORE USE OF YOUR SOLAR
Solar generation and household energy use don't always happen at the same time.
Most solar generation happens during the day, while household demand often increases in the morning and evening. A battery can store surplus solar generation and make that energy available later instead of sending all of it back to the grid.
But bigger isn't automatically better.
Battery size should be matched to how your household actually uses energy, your existing solar system and what you may need in the future. That's why we look at the system as a whole before recommending a solution.
ACT REBATES & FINANCE
Eligible ACT homeowners may be able to access support for solar, batteries, EV chargers and other eligible household upgrades through available incentive and finance programs.
Decarby is partnered with Brighte, providing access to an ACT Government-supported low-interest loan. The website also references the Sustainable Household Scheme, federal battery rebates and STCs as potential ways eligible households can reduce upfront costs.
The important part is understanding what applies to your particular setup.
We'll walk you through the options relevant to your project and help with the paperwork where applicable.
That's fine. Tell us what you're considering and we'll talk through your options.
Eligibility, available incentives and finance options depend on the applicable program and individual circumstances.
OUR APPROACH
We start by understanding your home, how you use energy and what you're trying to achieve.
We consider the property, your current energy requirements and what you may want to add in the future.
We develop a solution around the property rather than starting with an off-the-shelf package.
We walk you through the options clearly, without unnecessary jargon or pressure.
Our installation team delivers the system with a focus on safety, quality and attention to detail, with support beyond installation.
You don't need to have the answer before you call us.
Tell us about your home, your electricity use and what you're hoping to achieve. We'll help you work through what makes sense whether that's solar now, solar and battery together, or a system designed so you can add more later.
Practical advice. No sales pressure.
OUR WORK
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
You shouldn't need to become a solar expert just to make a sensible decision about your home.
Our job is to understand what you're trying to achieve, explain the options clearly and recommend something we'd be comfortable installing in our own homes.
No cookie-cutter quotes. No pressure tactics. Just practical advice backed by engineering and installation experience.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
From start to finish, i could not speak highly enough of Bilal, Nana and the Decarby install team.
After moving into my new place and looking to get solar and a battery installed, i received an overwhelming amount of quotes with every other company quoting the most expensive systems and with the intention to make my house look like a solar farm - rather than quoting based on what would be appropriate for my actual needs.
The Decarby team were the only company to actually come out to visit me, where Bilal and Nana were able to sit down with me, get an understanding of what i needed and were able to clearly explain the pro's and cons of the different systems. They made recommendations and truly helped me understand the benefit of what i was purchasing while also giving me time to make an educated decison and answering any follow up questions without any sales pressure.
Install was very quick from start to finish, Bilal and Nana came out just before the christmas holidays and once i decided to proceed, the battery / solar was ordered and with installation finished by the end of January. Decarby has their own internal install team, rather than contractors they were able to control the process and clearly provide me with exact times and clear communications.
Seriously a big shoutout is deserved to the installation team! These guys were extremely punctual, respectful and pushed out the install on one of the hottest days to make sure it was done. They removed all rubish and even asked to take their shoes off in the house - definitely a first for me!
Both myself and my wife are beyond happy with our new system and have had such a positive experience with the Decarby team from start - finish as well as after support.
I truly appreciate you guys and wish you all the success for the future!

Had a 12.3kW solar system and 32kWh battery installed by Decarby Solar at a very competitive price. The installation was quick and the team were easy to work with. We did hit a couple of issues along the way, including unexpected asbestos removal needed around the old switchboard, but they resolved everything promptly and gave us a fair deal on the additional costs. We also had other work happening at the house at the same time, and they were great at coordinating around our other contractors. Really happy with the overall experience - would recommend.

Decarby Solar were one of three tenderers invited to put proposals to install a Solar Battery in my home. This was the first time I came across Decarby and their team.
I was impressed by their team's professionalism and their down-to-earth no nonsense practical, logical and easy to understand the issues involved in installing a battery to a solar system. They inspected the site and evaluated all aspects of the proposal.
Their proposal was accepted, and they delivered on time and on budget.
I have no hesitation in recommending Decarby Solar for Solar.
